Brita® water filters & filtration systems deliver cleaner, great-tasting drinking water to power you through one more meeting, one more mile or one more game. Also Helps Protect Your Health By Removing Contaminants While Preserving Healthy Minerals. Target was one of the online retail stores selling Brita.

Problem: Based on the research data, the half of 18 to 49 years olds turn to their mobile device first to watch video. They watch video in the living room, when they commute to work or school. They prefer to watch on their smarphone because is easy, personalized and for the control.

Persona

The process

Create stories using line art animation to express how pure the water after being filtered. It should be educational without making it feel like an ad. The video gets its point across and moves the marketing needle while still informing viewers. Typography design should be large enough for targeted to view. Call to action must be presented in the end for user to interact. Minimalistic design approach to convey clean and crips look and feel. Design and create the storyboard from scratch. Drew all the illustration in Adobe illustrator. Animated the graphic in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

Conclusion 

Brita video ad campaign is one of 1000+ projects, where I am so lucky to meet the great team. When working with the external Brita team to concept the design, and the story, I got the chance to face some challenges from putting concept to develop, such as working with an illustrator getting the line art done and turning them into frame by frame animation, which is a great learning experience.


“Healthy and clean” is one of the team spirits and brand images of Brita. From this project, I also learned how to use simple color and elements to make it “healthy and clean”, “modern” instead of “traditional”. I was given some free filters to use I definatly enjoyed great tasting and clean water that made me feel healthy after drinking it.


It is also glad to see the video is making a real influence on the business. According to the metrics, the video campaign successfully brought more customers and keeps them more engaged.
